Message from the Team Leadership

Here are some helpful words from Pat Hintze regarding creating YOUR STORY!

YOUR ‘QUICK’ STORY:

“I USED TO BE  or  CURRENTLY AM a _________”

(Fill in the blank: Teacher, Homemaker, Executive, Doctor, Nurse, whatever!

“But I was LOOKING FOR a way to create more _________ in my life”

(Fill in the blank: Fun, Time Freedom, Money, Security, Relationships, Health)

“And I FOUND an exciting group of business people that I have teamed up with”

“And NOW I am helping people get healthy and I get paid for it too! That’s very cool!”

FINISH WITH A QUICK CALL TO ACTION: Wrap up your story with an open invitation to find out more information. Some of you may feel comfortable with a direct question of interest while others may feel better with a broader, indirect wrap up. Here is an example of each!

(Direct)  “Our company is always expanding and looking for positive, self motivated people to help spread the word! If you or anyone you know might be looking for an exciting opportunity to earn some extra income or just learn about products that make you healthier, I would love to get you some more information! If I can get your email address I would be glad to follow up with you!”

(Indirect) “Our company is always expanding and looking for positive, self motivated people to help us spread the word! Here is my card. If there is anyone you know who might be looking for something, please let them know I would be happy to get them all the information on what we are doing!”

There you go! Don’t get too caught up in creating the perfect words or phrases.  It is designed as an emergency game plan with a conversation starter attached!  You can add to it a little more but just make sure you are done talking in about 30 seconds!!! (People won’t be listening much after that anyway!)

 NOW YOUR SHORT STORY:

(This one will take a little more thought but it’s worth it!)

The nice part about your ‘Short’ Story is that it actually begins with your ‘Quick’ Story!! Then you simply add a little more detail after the ‘Quick’ portion.  This part definitely has a purpose contained in the contents. As mentioned earlier, it should have a “Me Too” message and an excited vision for the future. So let’s build an example:

MESSAGE:  How were you introduced to the opportunity?  Through the product? Through the opportunity? From a friend? Were you looking for something or not really?

(After your ‘Quick’ Story say: “This is how I got started…”)

(Example #1) “I had a friend ask me a really simple question, they said ‘Do you ever feel tired?’ I sort of looked at them weird and replied “I have 3 kids! I’m always tired!!” They recommended some nutritional products they thought could help. So, I tried them and I just could not believe the difference they made for me! It was like a breath of fresh air for me! The business got my attention because I always wanted to stay home with my kids.”

(Example #2) “I have always been interested in being as ‘Green’ as I possibly could. I think it is a good idea to protect the environment we live in. I was talking with a Mom from my kid’s school and she mentioned how she used all Non-Toxic cleaners for laundry and house cleaning…”

(Example 3#) “I was out with some friends after work and we were complaining about all the politics around the office. Someone mentioned that they had started a part time business from their home and they seemed excited about the potential of it. I started asking questions and fell in love with the idea of being my own boss someday…”

You will notice how all three examples let people know how you got introduced AND give an opportunity for people to think “Me Too” as things may apply to them!

WHAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT:  Try to mention a little about what you do or did to get things moving and why the future is so bright from your view point. (The products, the money, the timing, the industry, the rewards.)

(Example #1) “It started out pretty slow and really part time at first but I found some people who got some of the same great results as I was getting and a few others started to tell a few others. The industry is unlimited! I just think of all the people who could benefit from our products and the business we have and I lose a little bit of sleep because of it! I was able to find a guy who started building a group that now has partners in 4 or 5 different States! We signed up a nurse who knows how important health is to virtually everyone…”

(Example #2) “I am so excited about the size of our industry and how in demand our products are today!  Everyone is focused on preventing health related issues! You can’t afford to get sick in today’s world and our health care system is such a mess you can’t afford decent insurance so you better take care of yourself, that’s for sure!

(Example #3) “I’ve almost qualified for a new car bonus! And I am on my way to earning an all expenses paid trip for me and my other! And all I am doing is teaching people how to become healthier (greener, lose weight) The  support is awesome I didn't even need to become an expert in anything. The company provides all the tools I need to share the message and they actually take care of all the money and shipping stuff for me!”

USE YOUR OWN WORDS IN YOUR OWN STORY!! Don’t try to be perfect here! Remember it’s a lot easier to have a conversation than it is to give a lecture! But you can’t have a conversation if you do all the talking!!

CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO KEEP IT UNDER THE 2 MINUTE MARK!!

Your ‘Short’ Story is a perfect way to start a presentation for your opportunity or product introduction!  Teach this technique to your downline distributors so that they can share with other distributors or prospects at a moments notice!! There will be nothing more powerful than going around the room and having 4 or 5 SHORT stories being told!! Make sure you are ready to contribute when called upon in the most effective way possible!

AGAIN, JUST BE YOURSELF, HAVE A GAME PLAN! WRITE IT DOWN, MEMORIZE IT AND BE READY TO SHARE!
